My GMU Social Work Journey
It is not your job to save everyone. Some people are not even ready to be helped. Focus on being of service to those who are, and be wise and humble enough to know when the best service you can offer is to guide them toward help in another direction.

My Learnings & Contributions
As I approach the conclusion of my studies at George Mason University, where I study Social Work, I feel grateful for the great experience that has enabled me to develop into the professional I am today. I have been in a position of receiving guidance from my professors, which has been very helpful to me in the attainment of the knowledge, skills, and heart-felt compassion that I need to be able to help people.
Through practical lessons in the classroom, I have learned how to help vulnerable groups, provide essential services, and, most importantly, listen to people. Social work is a calling to help people and communities, and I firmly believe that I am ready to embark on this task.
All credit goes to the GMU Department of Social Work - College of Public Health for fostering an environment that educates and inspires. Exiting the practice, I hold to the lessons and values I learned at GMU and am ready to assist people who need it most. I want to thank GMU for the great experience.
Thank you, and keep it safe! 💙💛 #GMUGrad #SocialWork #PublicHealth #MakingADifference.
