As an intern at The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV), George Mason University, my primary responsibility is to provide efficient and effective intake and referral services to new and existing clients. This involves conducting comprehensive assessments of client's needs and connecting them with appropriate resources and services available within the community. Additionally, I offer support to high school students by acting as a peer mentor, providing guidance and assistance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. My commitment is to deliver compassionate and professional services to all those I serve, and I take immense pride in my work.

As a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) intern, I engaged in comprehensive case management to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness. I was responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments to identify clients' immediate needs, strengths, and barriers, assisting them in employment, healthcare, and housing stability. Accountable for developing individualized housing stabilization plans, providing crisis counseling, and connecting clients with appropriate community resources. I utilized motivational interviewing and problem-solving techniques to build rapport with clients, monitor their progress, and advocate on their behalf within various systems.

I have gained diverse professional experience in different positions, which enhanced my customer service skills as well as social work and advocacy. I started as an Application Specialist at BASF and thus gained analytical and technical skills in coatings applications. In sales and retail positions at Staples and Target, I learned how to approach customers, handle inventory, and make sure that the shopping experience is as smooth as possible. As an Usher/Floor Staff at Regal Entertainment Group I was also able to enhance my interpersonal skills in order to better assist patrons and facilitate smooth event operations.
